I have often found that while teaching, many of my jokes just fly over my students heads.  When I was younger, the culture gap was smaller and my students seemed to better understand the tv shows, commercials and metaphors to which I referred.

For example, when I teach the formula for the circumference of a circle, I like to refer to Tattoo on the TV show Fantasy Island, who at the start of every episode would cry out "de plane, de plane!" I would help my students make the transfer to remember "d- π , d- π " and we could picture a pie flying around in the air instead of an airplane.

Well, this page is my attempt to bring back a bunch of my favorite tv episodes, jingles, commercials, songs, etc. for the purposes of entertainment and being better understood. 

Since most of the content on these pages is "borrowed", I will be referring to them by abbreviateed names.  Most of the video content on this page will be in Real Player format because I have found that to have the best video quality to file size ratio.  Surf and enjoy!
